10 Short Books to Reach Your 2022 Reading Goal
Is anyone else unhinged enough to try and meet their 2022 book goal despite being 10 books behind? If so, you’re in the right place. Here’s 10 books that will help us reach our reading goals. Good luck!
Books for Every Taylor Era
I don’t know about you, but it’s a good time to be a Swiftie. We’ve entered a new era, and after four years, we’re finally getting another tour! I couldn’t be more excited. I’ve always thought that there’s a Taylor Swift era for everyone, just like there’s a book for everyone. So, I figured I’d pick a book recommendation for each era to celebrate.
The Night Circus
I’ve heard so much about this book, and it’s taken me forever to pick it up. I’m glad I finally did because I totally understand the hype. The Night Circus arrives mysteriously and without warning, filling communities with wonder and delight. But the circus wasn’t actually built for entertainment, but for two warring magicians, Celia and Marco, to compete with each other in a life-long battle. Readers know something that the magicians don’t as they slowly fall for each other: there can only be one surviving victor.
The It Girl
When I saw that The It Girl by Ruth Ware was published this summer, I knew it would be a perfect read for my September trip in Oxford. Murder mystery. Check! Set in Oxford. Check! Main character works in a bookstore. Check!
Fake
This was a different book than I would’ve thought based on its marketing campaign, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing . If you’re expecting a heist novel or a thriller, this isn’t it. Was I fooled by the twist(s) in this book? No. Did I care? Not really, because I was more interested by the inside look into art collecting and forgery, and that was well-executed.
